Sunansh combines international dental qualifications (Bachelor of Dental Surgery, India) with a New Zealand Postgraduate Diploma in Health Practice (Level 8). With a proven track record as a tutor, Sunansh has a passion for healthcare education and student success. He enjoys interacting with students and creating a fun, engaging learning experience that fosters understanding and enthusiasm. He is eager to contribute to the Christchurch campus as a Campus Support for the Director, bringing teaching expertise and a commitment to campus development.

Alex White
Facilitator
An art student by heart, Alex gained her Certificate in Makeup Artistry in 2010 followed by a Diploma in Production Special Effects & Sculpting for Film. She loves encouraging students to use different tools and equipment to fulfil their artistic vision. She enjoys all types of makeup from minimalistic and natural all the way to special effects, body painting and prosthetics making. Alex explains: "I love to encourage aspiring artists to evolve and push their creations to the next level in everything they do."

Yuying Yang

Originally from China, Yuying has called New Zealand home for the past eight years. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Auckland and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching, qualifying her as an ECE teacher. Passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment, Yuying encourages hands-on, reflective learning that connects to real-world early childhood settings. She values strong relationships and collaboration, helping learners grow in confidence, think critically, and develop a lifelong love for learning.

Dr Mereana Barrett
Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāi Tūhoe

Mereana comes from a proud whānau of artists and weavers, bringing with her a deep connection to culture and storytelling. She is a qualified accountant with a PhD from Glasgow Caledonian University, and her academic work explores how Māori organisations can contribute to external reporting—particularly in response to climate change. Mereana brings a unique blend of cultural insight and professional expertise, supporting students to think critically about sustainability, accountability, and the role of Indigenous knowledge in the modern world.

Shubrata's interests lie in food, being social, and staying active! He loves outdoor activities and any sport. Building on his background in Laboratory Medicine, he has been a part of the healthcare industry for over 8 years and chose to further his passion by becoming a facilitator with AGI. His motto is: "I love being with people, am happy to help, and contribute to bringing positive changes to people's lives."

Paras brings with him experience in both healthcare and education. His roles have included Health Promoter, Care Assistant, Team Leader, and Educator. Passionate about teaching, he is dedicated to helping students grow with the essential skills and knowledge they need to succeed. Frenzy has four years of experience as a Diversional Therapist and loves making people smile. Thriving in environments that inspire and empower individuals to explore and develop practical skills, she goes beyond traditional teaching methods by actively participating in hands-on activities that foster interactive and dynamic learning experiences. Her priority is creating a positive and enriching atmosphere where students feel encouraged to express their ideas and grow in confidence and abilities.

With a Master's Degree in Pharmacy and five years of experience as an Assistant Professor, Narinder has had the privilege of shaping the minds while contributing to academic literature through publications in national and international journals. Meet Sid, a seasoned professional with over 13 years of experience in the health and disability sector. From lecturing to hands-on support work, Sid has left his mark on various leading organizations since 2011. He holds Level 8 and Level 7 certifications from NZQA, earned through his Master of Education and Bachelor of Education (Honours) from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Beyond his career, Sid is an avid traveler, musician, and food enthusiast. With his diverse background and passion for improving lives, Sid is committed to making a positive impact wherever he goes.
