Fun in the sun: Happy Auckland Anniversary!

Activities for Auckland Anniversary 2024: 

The Annual Auckland Anniversary Regatta: This year is the 183rd running of the Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta – a mass sailing race that attracts literally thousands of boats out into our beautiful harbour and gulf.  Viewing locations are available all around the Waitematā with some of the best on Takaparawhau / Bastion Point or Maungauika / North Head or at the end of Princes or Queen’s wharves downtown. 

The regatta attracts a huge and varied fleet of sea-going vessels including tall ships, sloops, multi-hulls, classic yachts and launches, vintage tugboats with the Royal New Zealand Navy providing the flagship for the event.  

Beach Picnics: Take advantage of Auckland's beautiful beaches by organising a picnic with friends and family. Mission Bay, Takapuna Beach, and Piha are just a few of the many gorgeous spots to relax, enjoy the sun, and indulge in some delicious treats. Don't forget to bring your beach essentials, such as sunscreen, towels, and a frisbee for some beachside fun.
